Aerials

Digital UK have produced a new leaflet on installing aerials and satellite dishes.

The maximum number of aerials or satellite dishes that can be installed on a block is four as long as the building is over 15 metres high. For properties under 15 metres high the maximum number is reduced to two.

The leaflet which can be accessed via www.digitaluk.co.uk/propertymanagers/satellitedishes advises flat and apartment owners should consult their property manager or landlord prior to making changes to their current arrangements. Planning departments may also require consultation to consider whether planning permission may be required.

For blocks of flats the most suitable solution is to install a communal or shared aerial system which could provide all flats and apartments with access to digital TV.
